Plant Selection

We are guided by a short list of four criteria for deciding if a plant could be a good choice for your New Orleans garden:

Is a plant Native, Beneficial, Traditional, or Edible?

 

Mulch

We believe that soil quality is one of the primary factors in the success of a garden, and that a healthy mulch layer is a direct contributor to soil quality as well as wildlife habitat. In fact, we have a lot of thoughts about mulch.​​​
